Lukas Hein successfully took part in his first Goodyear 60 Endurance race in the Porsche Cayman GT4 during the ADAC Racing Weekend in Hockenheim from 17-18 September 2021.

Already on Thursday Lukas could do his first laps on the Hockenheimring in the Porsche Cayman GT4 and collect his first experiences on the, for him new car. The changing conditions - wet in the morning practice and dry in the afternoon - gave Lukas important experience for the race.

Unfortunately, Lukas was unable to take part in the two official free practice sessions on Friday morning due to an accident involving his team-mate and the resulting damage.

So he had to drive the qualifying without another lap. As the second driver, he managed to beat his teammate's time by 2 seconds, despite six laps of old tyres.

The team started the race from twelfth position. Lukas took over the car from his teammate in about P11 in the 25th minute of the race.

From then on, the race went forward - despite degrading tyres and increasing understeer, Lukas still managed to move the team up to P9.

"I am very satisfied with my first race in a Porsche, the race pace was still good despite the heavily degrading tyres, which makes me want to do more", Lukas Hein concluded after the race.

The next challenge is on the agenda for Laurents Hörr: after winning the European Le Mans Series with DKR Engineering last year, the German racing driver will continue his commitment in 2022 with a stint in the Asian Le Mans Series.
The achievements of the 24-year-old from Stuttgart did not go unnoticed by those responsible at the World Automobile Federation (FIA) and the World Endurance Championship (WEC). He was one of only two drivers worldwide to take part in the official FIA WEC Rookie Test.
